I Would Like an Office, Please

I was watching Million Dollar Decorators the other week and saw the fabulous Miss Mary McDonald design an office for the very chic Miss Jill Roberts. The end result:

So beautiful! Although, I must say, the curtains IRK me to death. I wish she had chosen a white or ivory textured fabric. In a different room I would love the horizontal stripes but with the chevron floor it is just too much (for my taste). Other than that, I love everything in this space! The set up reminds me a lot of Mary's own office:

My desk just isn't cutting it these days. I have too much stuff that needs to be organized and have it's own place. If only I had these places to work...

...maybe I'd actually get something done

I'm Pondering...

A reading nook!

Problem is - I don't have ANY extra space in my little closet of a room. So I'm thinking about maybe just putting a chair in a corner with some art or a little bookshelf like this:

Orrrrr I could get a SUPER COOL hanging chair! I'm thinking YES

TOMS Time

I hate to be one of those people who gets things once they become "trendy." I like for my clothes to be classic so I can funk them up with fun jewelry and shoes! This summer, I gave in to the trend, finally decided on a color I liked and ordered my first pair of TOMS. I loveee them!! They are so comfortable and so cute. I got the stonewash grey seen here:

It is such a creative way to highlight a fabulous cause. I have become addicted and I really REALLY want these crochet beauties but they are out of stock EVERYWHERE! (believe me, I've checked)

Some people got really creative with the plain canvas ones and I'm thinking about trying it, too

What about y'all - have you gone picasso and tricked out your TOMS?

Got Me Some Stuff

Went shopping today & got some goodies such as this:
And zis:
Those swedes at ikea are so damn good at making simple & cheap furniture. To trick these babies out I'm thinking about summa these from anthro. I can't decide which ones, though. Thoughts??

Speaking of good cheap stuff - I went to Zara for the first time today and I am in LOVE. Seriously I was considering pitching a tent and living there. Their stuff feels (and looks) like it is made well but it is such an inexpensive price (compared to designer shit)!

Overall a successful shopping day! Got some great clothes, mom and I didn't kill each other, I survived driving in a torrential storm in atlanta traffic. #winning

A Weekend Full of Great Music

Some snapshots from my amazing trip...

Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are my new obsession. Plus her dress was fabulous!

Florence + the Machine (the crowd was HUGE)

She played a song from her new album and it sounds like it's going to be incredible!! Take a listen...

I'll be honest - I had low expectations for Lil Wayne but he was actually great live

Pretty Lights started at 2:30AM...

Maybe my favorite act from the whole show: THE BLACK KEYS!
