The Phraseology Project

I've been drawn to all-things-graphics lately and ran across this. It's called The Phraseology Project and I'm obsessed! You can submit a phrase and they will "make it beautiful with type." They even have a store where you can purchase some of the designs. I love the idea of an interactive "project" -- getting people involved in your artwork is always fun!

Inspiration for Today

I am very excited to see that Jimmy Choo is celebrating their 15 year anniversary with a beautiful coffee table book! I could only snag an image of the cover, but from the looks of it this book is going to be chocked full of amazing and inspirational images from people like Mario Testino and Terry Richardson. And just to make you feel even better, 100% of the proceeds will go to the Jimmy Choo Foundation, a charitable trust.

The book begins, "The shoemaker was Jimmy Choo; the beautiful and clever young woman is Tamara Melon; the magazine, British Vogue. The rest is, as they say, history."

I am so so excited to see this. You can pre-order the book now for $95 (it's already on my Christmas list!)

Monday Morning at Home with... Drew Barrymore

Alright.  1) I know this is not a "home tour" and 2) Yes, this is an old one BUT since Domino Mag is no longer with us (pause to shed a tear) I've been digging up any and all old images I can!  I stumbled across the April 2008 issue with Drew Barrymore gracing the cover and I'm really feeling the vintage glam look.  Drew worked with interior designer Ruthie Sommers to create what she called an "un-office" to work in.  Enjoy the eye candy!

Look at this AH-mazing inspiration board. They change it with every project!

Monday Morning at Home with... Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi

The November Architectural Digest featured a fabulous photo spread with the hilarious Ellen and her gorge wife Portia in their Beverly Hills house. The mixture of antique furniture with wonderful artwork gives this home a modern yet laid-back vibe. Lately, I've really been drawn to spaces that do a good job of mixing old with new. What balance do you like with YOUR style?

I spy an Hermes blanket...!

This little screen porch is so cozy. I would live in it 24/7!

Hers & hers shoe closet - I love the fun vintage sign in the corner.

Just kidding, I would live HERE!

Equestrian Art

In all the rooms I've been pinning lately, I've noticed that large-scale photographs of horses are in a lot of them! One of my absolute favorite artists, Roberto Dutesco, takes amazing photographs of the wild Sable Island horses. A lot of designers have been using his huge photos to bring magic and warmth to the sometimes cold lines of modern interiors.

Designer Jarlath Mellett used three of the smaller prints in a series above a sofa. Love!
